“Journaling with Jesus: How to Draw Closer to God” by Carol Round is an excellent book and study guide on the benefits and “how to’s” of journaling. The book is well developed and laid out in a very logical and easy to understand way. The author’s writing style makes it easy to follow and easy to get into the book.

The book is written primarily to a female audience, but I found the book very informative and helpful. She makes it clear that the life applications of journaling is just as applicable to a man.  I have found it very useful in my spiritual life.

I highly recommend “Journaling with Jesus: How to Draw Closer to God” by Carol Round to all readers who want a closer walk with God.

Like most readers of the Bible I love the Psalms for both pleasure and especially for inspiration in periods of trail. Bob Saffrin’s book, “Psalms: The Sunrise of Hope” is an excellent study and guide to some of the best Psalms.

The author’s insight helps bring the psalmist words to life and added life application examples, making it easy to relate to my life. I have always been taught to use the Bible to explain and define the Bible. Bob Saffrin does this as he provides insight to the heart and soul of the psalmist. He uses other scriptures to interrupt the true meaning of the psalm.

I found “Psalms: The Sunrise of Hope” to be very uplifting and informing. I really enjoyed this book and Bible study.

I highly recommend “Psalms: Sunrise of Hope” by Bob Saffrin to all ages.

I really enjoy reading a good historical fiction especially when there is at least a thread of truth in it. “Pyramid of Skulls: A Novel of Timur, Warrior and Emperor” by Martin Fruchtman is that kind of book. I really enjoyed the book and story was excellent.

The characters were well developed and easy to identify with. It was easy to put myself into the story and follow along as the characters and story progressed.

The storyline held my attention throughout the book and had me wanting more. I found it hard to put the book down. The reality of the history of warfare and the treatment of people during that period led to some gruesome episodes involving both graphic violence and strong sexual content, often violent.

I recommend “Pyramid of Skulls: A Novel of Timur, Warrior and Emperor” by Martin Fruchtman to mature readers with the warning of graphic violence and sexual content.

“Festival in the Desert” is Book 4 in the “Military Orders” series by Martin Roth. Each of his books is a great read but this book is the best of the series. It is full of fast paced action and adventure. It kept me on the edge of my seat for the entire book.

The storyline is well developed and easy to follow. Each aspect of the story is clearly defined and ties into the overall storyline, bringing the reader a great adventure. What made the story even more real was how it tied in with the headlines of today. The author captured this moment in history and applied it to his novel in a way that is totally relevant.

The character are easy to identify with and very believable. It was easy to put myself into the story as an “extra” in each scene and follow along with the plot. The plot moved at a good pace and never dragged. I really enjoyed the book.

I highly recommend “Festival in the Desert” by Martin Roth for all ages.

“Doomsday Diaries” by Aaron Powell is a good book which was hard to put down. The storyline is very good and creative. The story is well developed and easy to follow. I enjoyed the way the author wrote the book as a journal.
The characters were believable and easy to relate to. I found I could put myself into the story and identify with the characters.
There is one section of the book which did not add any value to the storyline but actually distracted from it and will limit the book’s readership. It was a section of the story that dealt with graphic sexuality and could have been handle more discreetly.
Other that this I liked the book.

Faith building is the best way to describe this book unless you use WOW. “From Spice to Eternity: Discovering the Main Ingredient to a Life of Fulfillment and Purpose” by Yvonne Pat Wright is an excellent uplifting and inspiring book of God’s power and the victorious life he has for us.
I thoroughly enjoyed the author’s writing style. Her words and sentences flow with a harmony and peacefulness that made it hard to stop reading. It was easy to identify with each story and apply it to my life. I really loved the way the author made each thought come alive.
And to add to the enjoyment of the story I learned much about spices and herbs.
I highly recommend this book to all ages as a true faith builder.
