A Murderous Affair by Jonathan Digby is an excellent mystery which takes place in and around London after the defeat of the Spanish Armada. If you like a great “who done it” type of novel you will not be able to put this one down.

I really like the way the author developed his storyline. He included just the right amount of background information to make the story come alive in a very historical faction. Even though the book was full of plot twist and turns it was easy to follow. This made it that much harder to put the book down.

Jonathan Digby did an excellent job of developing his characters. I found each of them very real and easy to identify with. His background information along with his story telling style made the characters take on a life of their own.

I really enjoyed A Murderous Affair by Jonathan Digby and I highly recommend this book to all readers.

I really enjoy reading good historical fiction and Two Rivers by Zoe Saadia is great historical fiction. It will keep you glued to the pages and wanting more.

Zoe Saadia’s style of storytelling brings history to life. Her characters add realism to the history and make it easier to relate to and follow. Once again she has done an excellent job of character development, creating characters that are easy to identify with.

It is apparent from the beginning that Zoe Saadia has done her homework and research into the history of this era. She has taken know historical events and added her characters and a little fictional twist to make it come alive. Yet, she sticks to the basic historical truths of the era.

I really enjoyed Two Rivers by Zoe Saadia and highly recommend this book.

In Valley of Darkness, Part 2 by A. B. Whelan the adventures of Victor and Molly on the planet Arkana continue. The action is non-stop and once you start reading it is hard to put this book down.

The author did an excellent job of continuing the story started in part 1 of Valley of Darkness and it moves seamlessly from one book to the other. The storyline is well developed and very intriguing. With each new plot twist and turn, it draws you further into the story.

A. B. Whelan has down a great job of creating characters that are both believable and easy to identify with. These are people that I felt like I could have grown up with and been friends with. I really liked her style of writing and character development.

I really enjoyed Valley of Darkness, Part 2 and I highly recommend it to all readers.

The Traveller by Garrett Addison is a story of the life of businessman who spends his career on the road for an unappreciative company. Then one day he comes alive with both confidence and the “Midas touch” in his business dealings. He goes from being underappreciated to a hot commodity in his business.

The book is well written and has several interesting plot twist. Overall, I found the story to be slow and dragging. After the initial excitement the storyline became very repetitive.

I also had trouble identify with the lead characters. This only made it harder for me to get into the book.

The Boy Who Spoke to God by Randa Handler is a great children’s book about getting along. It is an excellent read not only for all children, but for adults also.

I really like the way the author used the various culture differences in religious beliefs to show how we become so closed minded. The story took a serious subject and portrayed it in a cute and at times funny way, while making a serious point.

Randa Handlers character and story development was excellent. The story was very easy to follow and understand. Her characters were believable and easy to identify with. I really enjoyed her storytelling style.

I liked The Boy Who spoke to God by Randa Handler and I highly recommend this book. I give it my "Grandpa Seal of Approval."
