I really enjoyed reading The Potawatomi Boy by Lisa J. Lickel. This exciting children’s book is a great crossover from young “kids” books to early “chapter” books that young children can read themselves.

The storyline is well thought out and easy to follow. Lisa J. Lickel’s writing style makes the story fun to read while developing on the theme of the beginnings of new friendship. It is a great book for showing how two young boys begin to overcome cultural differences.

I really liked The Potawatomi Boy by Lisa J. Lickel and I highly recommend this book. I give it my "Grandpa Seal of Approval."

Everville: The City of Worms by Roy Huff is the second book in the Everville series and like the first book it will grab you by the seat of your pants and keep you glued to the story. This YA adventure is full of action and intrigue.
The author did a great job of continuing to develop the Everville storyline and the transition from book one to this book was seamless. I really enjoyed the way the author developed multiple plot lines with constant twist and turns which kept me hooked. Even with all the plot twist it was easy to keep up and Roy Huff brought it all together for an exciting conclusion.  But, he set the stage for the next book in the series.
I really liked the way Roy Huff developed each of his characters. They are real and very believable. It was easy to follow along and place yourself into the story as a silent partner. I liked the way the heroes of the story had depth and were easy to identify with.
I really enjoyed Everville: The City of Worms by Roy Huff and I highly recommend this book to all readers.

Naked Eyes by Larry B. Gray is a true time capsule of 1970. This collection of poems shows a young Larry B. Gray pondering everything most intelligent young men do as they cross from adolescence to adulthood. Love, hate, war and death all come into play. I personally found myself again and again identifying with the words of the young Larry B. Gray and wished I had written many of them. Kept in the time frame of the turbulent late 60's and early 70's and it is to see these timeless poems as the treasure they are. In closing I could have included many of the passages to illustrate my point here but I left them out as not to spoil the reader's joy of discovery as I had.

Sincerely Chris Ammann

To be clear I was given a copy of Naked Eyes but the review is true and honest.

Rapture’s Rain by Chris Pennington is an action packed “end time” novel which added a different twist to your usual stories of the Rapture. I had a hard time putting this book down when I started reading it.

The author did a great job of developing a storyline that was both easy to follow, yet full of twist and turns which kept me glued to the book. His detail and storytelling style made the story come alive as very believable and realistic.

I like the way Chris Pennington developed his characters. I found them to be real and just like people I would meet in Anytown, USA. I found myself getting caught up in their stories and trials.

I really enjoyed Rapture’s Rain by Chris Pennington and highly recommend it to all readers.
