Book Review Disclaimer

The Apes of Eden – The Journey Begins by Jon P. Gunn is a fascinating read. I got caught up in the book and had a hard time putting it down.

Jon P Gunn wrote the book in “rhymed iambi pentameter thus falling into the category called heroic couplets. Each line has 10 syllables and the pairs of lines rhyme.” This follows the style of Geoffrey Chaucer and many of the plays and sonnets of William Shakespeare. For me this made for a great read.

The author developed a story around spiritual restlessness using apes as his main characters as they travel through human history looking for God. He did a great job of taking a very deep, philosophical subject and creating a fictional look at it. The story was easy to follow and very well written. I really like the way Jon P. Gunn developed his characters and made them real and easy to identify with.

I really enjoyed reading The Apes of Eden – The Journey Begins by Jon P. Gunn and I recommend it to all readers.

Emily’s Trial (book 2 of The Akasha Chronicles) by Natalie Wright is an excellent YA fantasy. It is action packed and full of adventure.

The author did a great job of weaving a tale of adventure that was fast paced and easy to follow. The story never lagged or dragged on but kept my interest from the first page until the last. The storyline contained all the needed fantasy elements combined with youthful excitement of the teenage heroine to make for a great read.

Natalie Wright did an excellent job of continuing to develop her characters and their various storylines after the first novel. It added to the fantasy part of the story to watch their social interaction developed.

I really liked Emily’s Trial by Natalie Wright and I highly recommend this book.

Thomas Jefferson, Rachel & Me by Peter Boody is a great historical novel which will keep you glued to the pages. Can you imagine having Thomas Jefferson come and live with you in today’s world? You will not be able to put it down.

Peter Boody storytelling style weaved a tale full of historical facts and fictitious humor into a great story that is easy to follow and very believable. As the story developed it became harder to put down as I could not wait to read what was going to happen next.

The author did a great job of character development, making them strong and easy to identify with. I especially like how continued to develop and expand each character throughout the book, keeping the reader guessing what was next for each of them.

I really enjoyed reading Thomas Jefferson, Rachel & Me by Peter Boody and I highly recommend this book.

The Alpha Choice (First Book in the Te’an Trilogy) by M.D. Hall is an excellent example of great science fiction writing. The book is full of non-stop action and adventure which will keep you glued to its pages.

I really liked the way the author developed his various storylines and plot twist. From alien worlds and space battles to first contact on earth the author kept me guessing who the good guys were and who the bad guys were until the end of the book.

M.D. Hall did a great job of developing his characters. Each of the main character, and there were several, were real and easy to identify with. He did an excellent job of introducing and creating the background for each of his characters and the storylines they each followed. In the end he brought it altogether for a great climax. Yet, he set the ground work for the next book.

I really liked The Alpha Choice by M.D. Hall and I highly recommend this book to all readers.
