The Third Heaven: The Rise of Fallen Stars by Donovan M. Neal really grabbed me and would not let me go. The action and adventure is nonstop and takes your breath away.

The author did an excellent job of developing a fictional account of the God's creation of the earth and the events of that first week. This story is told from the viewpoint of the angels and shows both their joy at the creation and the jealousy of some. Even though it is fiction it sticks to the common biblical views and shows the fall of Lucifer and his followers.

Donovan M. Neal is a great storyteller and has done an excellent job of making the creation story come to life and become even more believable. I truly enjoyed his take on this great chapter in creation.

I really enjoyed The Third Heaven: The Rise of Fallen Stars by Donovan M. Neal and I highly recommend this book to all readers.

The 10 Biggest Lies About God & The Truth That Will Set You Free by Krystal Kuehan is an excellent bible study that every child of God should read.  It is full of great information and is right on point.

I like the way the author dealt with the lies that Christians hear and fall victim to. She took a systematic approach to dealing with each of the ten most common misconceptions that try to still a Christian’s joy.

What I liked best is she debunked each lie the way you should by always addressing a misunderstanding of God by using God’s word, The Bible, to explain God’s plan for your life. I have always been taught to use The Bible to interpret The Bible.

The 10 Biggest Lies About God & The Truth That Will Set You Free by Krystal Kuehan is an excellent, easy to read and understand study and I highly recommend it to all readers.

Rapture’s Rain by Chris Pennington is an action packed “end time” novel which added a different twist to your usual stories of the Rapture. I had a hard time putting this book down when I started reading it.

The author did a great job of developing a storyline that was both easy to follow, yet full of twist and turns which kept me glued to the book. His detail and storytelling style made the story come alive as very believable and realistic.

I like the way Chris Pennington developed his characters. I found them to be real and just like people I would meet in Anytown, USA. I found myself getting caught up in their stories and trials.

I really enjoyed Rapture’s Rain by Chris Pennington and highly recommend it to all readers.

Psalm 119 – Thy Word is a Lamp unto My Feet by Deborah H. Bateman is an excellent commentary and Bible study of the longest chapter found in the Bible. Though it could be read as a daily study, I found I could not put it down and finished it in a couple of reading sessions.
Deborah H. Bateman did a great job of putting together a short, concise guide to this powerful Psalm. Her style of writing made it easy to follow and understand. Her narrative was both simple and to the point, while leaving plenty of room for the reader to apply the verses to their life and situation.
At the end of each lesson the author asked several questions in a section called “Things to Think About.” I found these to be very thought provoking and extremely insightful.
I really enjoyed Psalm 119 – Thy Word is a Lamp unto My Feet by Deborah H. Bateman and I highly recommend this book to all readers.

A Psalm for the Battle by Martin Roth is a short devotional on Psalm 18. It reflects on the verses and how they apply to the role of Christians in the military.

It is an excellent study using both cross references in the Bible and commentary from other authors and sources. I especially like the reflections from actual soldiers and leaders as they discuss their life and experiences in the military.

The commentary is well thought out and the presentation is easy to read and understand. I have read several works by Martin Roth and this book, like those, are both well written and clearly presented.

I really enjoyed A Psalm for the Battle by Martin Roth and I highly recommend it to all readers.

Love, Justice and Power: The Message of Passover for Christians by Martin Roth is an excellent teaching on the meanings of the Passover and its applications to modern Christian life.

I really enjoyed the way the author delved into the historical and biblical significance of the Passover. I have always liked studying Hebrew history and the various feasts they celebrate. Most modern Christians have forgotten the deep connection between our beliefs and the Jewish feast. Martin Roth did an excellent job of tying it together.

I totally enjoyed reading Love, Justice and Power: The Message of Passover for Christians by Martin Roth. I highly recommend the book to all readers. It will make a great addition to your bible study library.

Black Sea Gods by Brian L. Braden is an excellent action packed adventure that will keep your heart racing from cover to cover. It is nonstop and I love the “Ah-ha” ending.

The storyline is very well developed and flows seamlessly from one twist to another. It was easy to follow and keep up with the themes as the story developed. The story was very believable and I found it easy to identify with. I always like a story I can follow along and put myself in as an unseen character.

Brian L. Braden did and great job with character development. The characters where very believable and real, which made it easy to identify with them. I like the way he made the lead character and hero human with all the normal self-doubts and internal worries.

I really enjoyed reading Black Sea Gods by Brian L. Braden and I highly recommend this book to all readers.

Boomerang: The Return of the Prodigal Son by Britt Rickey is the story of, in the author’s words: “A wayward son. A broken father. An angry brother. A story for today.” It is a great study of God’s unending love taken from the story of the prodigal son out of the Bible.

The author did an excellent job of breaking the story down into its individual segments and analyzing each. He was able to relate each to everyday situations and the personal needs of modern day life. I especially like how the author related his own personal life events with the story. This added another level of realism to the life application.

Britt Rickey’s style of writing made it easy to follow the story and various sub-themes in the text. He brought the story down to my level and comfort zone. This helped me personalize the story and apply it to my life.

I really enjoyed reading Boomerang: The Return of the Prodigal Son and highly recommend it to all readers. Everyone will find some life application in this book.

Trees of the Book by Kimberly Payne is a great children’s activity book describing some of the trees mention in the Bible.  It is well written and illustrated.

I found the description of the trees very informative, easy to understand on an elementary level. It is fun the way she related each to a passage in the Bible describing how God actually used that type of tree.

The activity section with each tree was both a learning tool and fun to do. This book will keep your child’s interested.

I enjoyed Trees of the Book by Kimberly Payne and highly recommend it. It is a must add to your entire child’s home reading and would make an awesome Bible study addition.
