The Officer’s Code by Lyn Alexander is an excellent historical novel full of action, adventure and romance. The further I got into the book the harder it was to put it down.

The author did a great job of developing a story that was easy to follow and real to life. I really like her writing style. It is so important, in this time of story, for the emotions to convey by the words to the reader and Lyn Alexander wrote just such a book.

The book was full of action and intrigue but the characters is what made the book so powerful. I found them to be so believable it was easy to put myself into the story and follow along. Once again the emotion written into the story was a powerful tool to captivate reader by bringing the characters to life.

I really enjoyed The Officer’s Code by Lyn Alexander and I highly recommend it to all readers.

I have always liked making faces at children and for them to make faces at me. The Funny Face Book by Molly Moss is a great rhyming book about funny faces and adjusting to a new school.

I like rhyming children’s books and the author did a great job using her rhyming storytelling to show how the other children made Jake feel at home at his new school. Each story was funny and made me laugh.

I really enjoyed The Funny Face Book by Molly Moss and I highly recommend this book. I give it my "Grandpa Seal of Approval."

Cumoro by Marshall Best, the second book of The Chronicles of Guiamo Durmius Stolo, is an excellent book which will leave you breathless each time you take a break. The action packed, and I mean action packed, adventure is non-stop from page one until the end.

The author did an excellent job of moving seamlessly from where the first book ended directly into this story. The storylines continues to develop and new twists are constantly being added. This volume, though best if read with the first volume, can be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone story. I really like how in this story the author weaves historical facts into the mythological folklore of the era and region.

Marshall Best is an excellent storyteller and part of what makes his stories so good is his character development. Each of his characters are both believable and real to life which makes them easy to identify with. Not only are they strong and wise as you would expect from a hero, but they each have a humanity which comes out in the story.

I really liked Cumoro by Marshall Best and I highly recommend this book to all readers. I recommend you also read the first book of the series, Guiamo, in order to gain the full appreciation of this great series.

Outcaste – Episode One of Spaceforce by Penelope Irving is a great read for all sci-fi space opera lovers. It is full of action packed adventure with many twist and turns.

The author did a great job of developing a storyline which kept me glued to the book all the way to the end. The book is short, only 74 pages per Amazon, but it is complete and well thought out. It is easy to read and follow, even with all the twist and turns in the story.

I really like the way Penelope Irving developed her characters. They were both real and easy to follow. I like when characters are believable and not some super hero. I liked each of her characters and like the intrigue she developed around them.

I enjoyed reading Outcaste – Episode One of Spaceforce by Penelope Irving and recommend it to all readers.

The Fall of the Empire by Zoe Saadia is another great historical fiction dealing with the rise of the Aztecs as the dominate force in the Mesoamerican era of Mexico. It is action packed, full of intrigue and adventure.

I have really enjoyed reading all four of the author’s books of this series because of her unique storytelling style. This one is no exception. The author did a great job of developing a tale that continued to build on each of the previous books in the series. I really like the way she stuck to historical facts and molded the story around them.

Zoe Saadia continued her style of developing strong and courageous characters that were both believable and easy to identify with. Not only did she continued to build upon the strength of her previous characters as their story develop but I really liked the new characters she introduced.

I really enjoyed The Fall of the Empire by Zoe Saadia and the entire series. I highly recommend this book to all readers.

When it comes to children’s books and Mark Smith, I have learned to expect to laugh a lot. Sally’s Silly Hair Day! by Mark Smith was no exception. I laughed from page one.

He states at the beginning of the book, “This book was created to put a smile on your face, and make you laugh.” He accomplished his goal. It is cute, funny, and with a bit of rhyming thrown in to make it flow this book is an excellent addition to all children’s book collections.

The illustrations by Julie Richmond are great. They helped tie the story together and added to the fun.

I really liked Sally’s Silly Hair Day! by Mark Smith and I highly recommend this book. I give it my "Grandpa Seal of Approval."
