Psalm 119 – Thy Word is a Lamp unto My Feet by Deborah H. Bateman is an excellent commentary and Bible study of the longest chapter found in the Bible. Though it could be read as a daily study, I found I could not put it down and finished it in a couple of reading sessions.
Deborah H. Bateman did a great job of putting together a short, concise guide to this powerful Psalm. Her style of writing made it easy to follow and understand. Her narrative was both simple and to the point, while leaving plenty of room for the reader to apply the verses to their life and situation.
At the end of each lesson the author asked several questions in a section called “Things to Think About.” I found these to be very thought provoking and extremely insightful.
I really enjoyed Psalm 119 – Thy Word is a Lamp unto My Feet by Deborah H. Bateman and I highly recommend this book to all readers.

A Psalm for the Battle by Martin Roth is a short devotional on Psalm 18. It reflects on the verses and how they apply to the role of Christians in the military.

It is an excellent study using both cross references in the Bible and commentary from other authors and sources. I especially like the reflections from actual soldiers and leaders as they discuss their life and experiences in the military.

The commentary is well thought out and the presentation is easy to read and understand. I have read several works by Martin Roth and this book, like those, are both well written and clearly presented.

I really enjoyed A Psalm for the Battle by Martin Roth and I highly recommend it to all readers.

Like most readers of the Bible I love the Psalms for both pleasure and especially for inspiration in periods of trail. Bob Saffrin’s book, “Psalms: The Sunrise of Hope” is an excellent study and guide to some of the best Psalms.

The author’s insight helps bring the psalmist words to life and added life application examples, making it easy to relate to my life. I have always been taught to use the Bible to explain and define the Bible. Bob Saffrin does this as he provides insight to the heart and soul of the psalmist. He uses other scriptures to interrupt the true meaning of the psalm.

I found “Psalms: The Sunrise of Hope” to be very uplifting and informing. I really enjoyed this book and Bible study.

I highly recommend “Psalms: Sunrise of Hope” by Bob Saffrin to all ages.

“Psalm 23, Help for Lost Lambs” by Bob Saffrin is an excellent study of the 23rd Psalm and full of life applications. This is a short book and easy to read and digest. I found the book very insightful and interesting.

His life applications of Psalm 23 will easily touch every reader, no matter what your situation is. I especially liked his description of the 23rd Psalm as the “Swiss Army Knife of Psalms.” It is applicable in all life’s situations.

Bob is an excellent writer and I have found his Bible studies extremely helpful.

I highly recommend “Psalm 23, Help for Lost Lambs” by Bob Saffrin.
