Lost in the Woods – A Bible Camp Mystery by Cheryl Rogers is an exciting novella geared toward young adults. It is full of action and adventure and carries a Christian message of the power of prayer.
The author did a good job of developing the storyline. It flowed well and was easy to follow. Even with all the miss adventure that occurred I found it totally believable and could easily put myself into the story.
The characters were both believable and easy to identify with. There human response and reaction were true to life. Plus, they never lost sight of the central theme of the story.
I enjoyed Lost in the Woods – A Bible Camp Mystery by Cheryl Rogers. I recommend it especially to a YA reader.

The Harbinger of Doom by Glenn G. Thater combines the author’s novellas The Gateway and The Fallen Angle into a single volume of action packed excitement. This was a great adventure which I could not put down once I started reading.

It was hard to catch one’s breath the action and adventure came so fast. The author did an excellent job of making all the twists and turns in the storyline exciting and at the same time easy to follow. You kept wanting more and more.

The further I got into the book the more the characters came alive and became real, easy to identify with. I really enjoyed putting myself into the story as a bystander, following along with the adventure.

My one problem was the book ended and all I could say was “No, not yet!” But, don’t despair; the author has several more books in this series that are just as exciting.

I really enjoyed The Harbinger of Doom by Glenn G. Thater and highly recommend this book.

The Rebels’ Promise by Jane Godman is an English/ Scottish romance novel with all the adventure and intrigue you would expect from 1745 England. It is a well written and exciting book that I found hard to put down.

The storyline was well developed and easy to follow. I really enjoyed all the subtle twist and turns in the plot. The story was very believable and it was easy to imagine life in the aristocratic world of 18th century London.

Not only was the story a romance novel with all the expected “mushy” stuff, but the action and intrigue makes it a book for all readers. It will keep you glued to the book and wanting more.

Jane Godman did an excellent job of developing the characters. The lead characters were easy to identify with and very real to life. I also liked how she continued to develop the supporting characters in the story and build to their critical role in the climax of the story.

I really enjoyed The Rebel’s Promise by Jane Godman and I highly recommend it to all readers.

How would like a mix of ancient Egyptian, modern adventure and science fiction? If so A Far Traveler – The First Alien by W. Blake Heitzman is the novel for you. This fast paced, high action adventure will keep you on the edge of your reading seat from start to finish.

The storyline is well developed and thought-out. It is easy to follow even with the many twist and turns it takes. Add to this jumping back and forth over 3,000 years and you stay on your toes. But, like I said it is easy to follow.

W. Blake Heitzman did a great job developing each of the characters in the story. They were both believable and easy to identify with. I found myself following along the story and characters as an unseen member of the cast and cheering everybody on.

I really enjoyed and got into reading A Far Traveler by W. Blake Heitzman and I highly recommend it to all readers.

I have read lots of ABC picture books to my kids when they were young but I have to say ABC Animals by Mark Smith is one of the best. Its simple rhyming style will make it a hit at any bedtime read. Grandparents, this is a book you want to get for that big chair lap time with your special grandchildren.

I really enjoyed all the real photos of the animals and the funny remarks attached to each. Mark Smith’s style and word choice is bound to be a hit among all children especially little boys.

I enjoyed ABC Animals by Mark Smith and highly recommend it as a must read.

Leading Without Authority by Aditi Chopra deals with the obstacles and pit falls faced by leaders who are in a position where they have little or no authority over the people they lead. This is common position which leaders can find themselves in the today’s business environment of team based leadership and projects.

Aditi did a good job of describing the various situations modern leaders find themselves in. She explained the pitfalls and challenges of each.

She explained in detail the various leadership styles that different leaders use to function and manage their business. Then she took each style and applied it to the issue of leading without authority.

I found the book well written and easy to read. It was informative and well thought-out. Because of its short length, approximately 52 pages depending on format, the book is ideal for the busy leader on the run.

I recommend Leading Without Authority by Aditi Chopra.

In this crazy, politically charged climate that is known as the United States do you ever wonder what if? Dennis Snyder in his novel Yellow Rose of Texas explores just that as he looks at what extreme political views can lead to.

Though a work of fiction, the reality of the story is very true to life. It is fast paced and full of action and adventure. I found it easy to follow the storyline as it twist and turned throughout the book. It was very hard to put down and when it ended I was left wanting the next book to see where the story goes.

I liked each character in the book. All of them, even the “bad guys,” seemed like people you would know. Dennis Snyder did a great job of developing each character and there storyline and then tying them all together.

I really enjoyed reading Yellow Rose of Texas by Dennis Snyder and I highly recommend it as a must read.

Spark the Night Light by Mark Smith is an excellent rhyming book which works great as a bedtime read or as a first reader for young children. Its simple message and cute illustrations help dispel and protect against all those scary things that go bump in the night.

I read the book with my six year old grandson and he enjoyed. What the heck, Grandpa enjoyed it to.

This is a great little story which should be on your bedtime reading list.

Nothing Good is Free by Matthew R. Horn is the second book following the life of Jeff, a vigilantly superhero solving crimes the police can’t touch. It is an action packed adventure that is hard to put down once you start reading.

The author did an excellent job of picking up where the first book in the series, The Good Fight, left off. The storyline flowed seamlessly into the new book, picking up our hero's story a short time later. The storyline was easy to follow throughout the book even without reading the first installment. The action and story stands on its own and will keep you glued to the book.

Matthew R. Horn has done a great job developing the lead character and all the supporting characters. It is easy to identify with the hero and cheer him on as the police begin to close in on him.

I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it to all readers.
