I don’t often get to review children’s books, but I
thoroughly enjoyed reading Um … Mommy, I Think I Flushed My Brother Down the
Toilet by Jeff Rivera. I could not stop laughing all the way through it.
It was well written and very age appropriate. The storyline
was well developed and oh so funny. This
was just the kind of book kids love. The illustrations were great and added to
the story and laughs.
Just to be sure I was not being an over grown kid, I read
the book to my 6 year old grandson for his expert opinion. His first thought,
based on the cover, was; “This is a girl’s book.” As I read on he started
laughing and gave out a loud “YUCK!” ever-so-often. In a six year Old’s
vocabulary this mean it was “great.” In summary he said; “That was funny.”
I and my expert consultant really enjoyed Um … Mommy, I
Think I Flushed My Brother Down the Toilet by Jeff Rivera and highly recommend
it to all readers.
