If you are a space opera fan like I am then once in a while you have to read a good, down in dirt space marine thriller. Marines, Book 1 of the Crimson Worlds series, by Jay Allan fits the bill. This book is action packed and full of thrills.

I really liked the storyline that the author has developed. It is very realistic and very conceivable. The story moves at a good pace and kept my attention from start to finish.

Allan Jay's main character is well developed and a very believable hero. It is fun to watch him grow and mature as the story progresses. It is easy to get into this character and identify with him.

Marines by Jay Allan is an excellent book and I highly recommend this book to all readers.

Do you like reading stories with dragons? How about Zombies and a few other assorted creatures? Now let’s add a couple of Marine fire teams and all hell breaks loose. Hold onto the seat of your pants and enjoy a great read because Captain Jackson and the Long Patrol by Zack Varvel is a book for you.

The author did a great job of developing a story which was fast paced and full of action.  It was full of twist and plot turns but it was easy to follow and read. I found it hard to put down once I started reading.

Zack Varvel developed the main characters to be both real and believable. This made the story better and kept a sense of reality to this fantasy adventure. I found it easy to identify with our heroes.

I enjoyed reading Captain Jackson and the Long Patrol by Zack Varvel and recommend this book.
