The Rise of the Guardian by Jennifer Ogden, Book 2 in the Guardian Series, is a great book for young readers. It has the right amount of adventure and action to keep them interested, without overwhelming them.

I thought the author did a great job of developing a tale which kept me glued to the pages but also inter-twinned various social morals. Her storytelling style was easy to follow and very believable. For a short book she covered a lot of ground.

I found Jennifer Ogden's characters where easy to identify with, very believable and easy to follow. I liked the way she included background information on her lead characters which helped to make them and the story come to life.

I enjoyed The Rise of the Guardian by Jennifer Ogden and I recommend this book to all readers. This book would make a great first "chapter book" for young readers.

The author did a great job of developing a storyline that kept me wanting to read more with each page I finished. This is one of those books where you get to the end and can't wait for the next installment in the series. The author gave just enough background to make the story very believable and the adventure come to life.

I have just finished Of Blood and Brothers Book Two by E. Michael Helms and I am at a loss for words. You know that feeling of being a peace and totally satisfaction that comes over you after something wonderful has occurred. That is the way I feel now, complete.

Throughout both of the books the author did an outstanding job of telling a tale which captured both my heart and soul. As I read books I became caught up and was dreading the ending. But, when it came, E. Michael Helms brought it all together leaving me with of closure.

Now don't get me wrong. Both of these books are full of action and adventure. There is great detail told of the horrors of American Civil War and its aftermath.  The author stuck to historical facts about the major events he described of the war.

If you like historical fiction and you are a Civil War buff, like me, you will love this series.

I really liked Of Blood and Brothers: Books 1 and 2 by E. Michael Helms and I highly recommend them to all readers.

It is hard to beat good historical fiction and Legionnaire: Exiles of Arcadia by James Gawley is just such a book. The story is action packed and fast paced. It was hard to put down once I started reading.

The author's ability as a wordsmith is very clear in this tale of the life of a Roman legionnaire. He did a great job of developing the storyline by making it both exciting and believable. He provides just enough background to help you understand the story, without getting bogged down in detail. The plot twist and storyline was easy to follow and relate to.

One of the best things I like about James Gawley's story was his character development. He made each of his characters real and very believable. You watched as the main characters grew and developed as the book progressed. I really like this as I could relate to each of them.

I really liked Legionnaire: Exiles of Arcadia by James Gawley and I highly recommend this book to all readers.

The Glade by Harmony Kent is a fast paced, action packed thriller which literally will keep you up at night. I can truly say this book spooked and scared me, but I could not put it down.

The author did a great job of developing her storyline. It was deep but she continually provided you with the insight and background to understand and follow the story. The numerous plot twist and turns made the story even more real and exciting.

I like the way Harmony Kent developed her characters. She gave the needed back ground to help make them come alive and seem real. That was part of what made the story so thrilling was you could put yourself the tale and become a part of the story.

I liked The Glade by Harmony Kent and recommend this book to mature readers.

Clive Algar has done it again with his book Journeys to the End of the World. This is an excellent book full of action, adventure and romance. Once I started reading this book I had trouble putting it down.

The author is an excellent storyteller and his way with words made the story come alive. I really loved the way he told a tale of three periods in history and brought them all together in the end.

Once again in this story, as in his previous two books I have read, his ability as a wordsmith puts you into the story. Whether on the farm in the early years or on the beach you could smell the smells and hear the sounds of the area, bringing them to life. His description of the war and its horrors was excellent. Without using all the graphic language the author made you feel all the emotions of the characters.

I really like the way Clive Algar developed his characters in the story. He brings them to life and makes them so believable. It is easy to get attached to them and identify with the main characters of the tale.

I really liked Journeys to the End of the World by Clive Algar and I highly recommend this book to all readers.
