review	Psalm 119 – Thy Word is a Lamp unto My Feet by Deborah H. Bateman is an excellent commentary and Bible study of the longest chapter found in the Bible. Though it could be read as a daily study, I found I could not put it down and finished it in a couple of reading sessions. Deborah H. Bateman did a great job of putting together a short, concise guide to this powerful Psalm. Her style of writing made it easy to follow and understand. Her narrative was both simple and to the point, while leaving plenty of room for the reader to apply the verses to their life and situation. At the end of each lesson the author asked several questions in a section called “Things to Think About.” I found these to be very thought provoking and extremely insightful. review	Lately I have read several books dealing with the Nephilim and the fallen angels in the time before the flood. Shawn Hopkins, in Progeny, has done an excellent job of bring all these stories together into a high adventure and action story of the modern day struggle with good and evil. The story he weaves is well develop and easy to follow. At the same time it keeps you on the edge of your seat wonder what the next twist in the story will bring. It was hard to put down once I got start reading it. I easily became absorbed into the story, cheering and encouraging the characters. The main characters were very believable and easy to identify with. Shawn did an excellent job of developing each character at just the right time in the story. I highly recommend Progeny by Shawn Hopkins as an excellent read.

review	“The Castors of Giza” by Chris Hambleton blew me away. At first I thought it was just another good book about ancient Egypt but the more I read the harder it became to put down. I was totally captured in the story. The author did an excellent job of tying the various storylines together.  What started out as a story about the building of the Great Pyramid took on new meaning when the author brought Abram and Sarai and the Biblical story of their trip to Egypt into the story. I love when an author is able tell an Old Testament story and make it real and at the same time stay true to the original Bible text. Chris Hambleton did an excellent job of this. Plus, there is a surprise biblical twist I won’t tell. The characters he added to the story were well developed and believable. I found it easy to join them as an extra and follow along, getting lost in the story. I totally enjoyed reading “The Castors of Giza” by Chris Hambleton. I highly recommend this book.

review	“Psalm 23, Help for Lost Lambs” by Bob Saffrin is an excellent study of the 23rd Psalm and full of life applications. This is a short book and easy to read and digest. I found the book very insightful and interesting. His life applications of Psalm 23 will easily touch every reader, no matter what your situation is. I especially liked his description of the 23rd Psalm as the “Swiss Army Knife of Psalms.” It is applicable in all life’s situations. Bob is an excellent writer and I have found his Bible studies extremely helpful. I highly recommend “Psalm 23, Help for Lost Lambs” by Bob Saffrin.

review	“Elijah – Steps to a Life of Power” by Bob Saffrin is an excellent book. The author has taken the life of Elijah and broken it into very detailed segments telling of his struggles and ultimate triumph of faith and power. Then the author takes each segment and relates it to our lives and shows us how to achieve all that God has for us. The book is well thought-out and written making it easy to read. I found the book very uplifting and applicable into today’s world and my life. I highly recommend this book.
