The Rise of the Guardian by Jennifer
Ogden, Book 2 in the Guardian Series, is a great book for young readers. It has
the right amount of adventure and action to keep them interested, without
overwhelming them.
I thought the author did a great job of
developing a tale which kept me glued to the pages but also inter-twinned
various social morals. Her storytelling style was easy to follow and very
believable. For a short book she covered a lot of ground.
I found Jennifer Ogden's characters
where easy to identify with, very believable and easy to follow. I liked the
way she included background information on her lead characters which helped to
make them and the story come to life.
I enjoyed The Rise of the Guardian by
Jennifer Ogden and I recommend this book to all readers. This book would make a
great first "chapter book" for young readers.
