It is hard to beat good historical
fiction and Legionnaire: Exiles of Arcadia by James Gawley is just such a book.
The story is action packed and fast paced. It was hard to put down once I
started reading.
The author's ability as a wordsmith is
very clear in this tale of the life of a Roman legionnaire. He did a great job
of developing the storyline by making it both exciting and believable. He provides
just enough background to help you understand the story, without getting bogged
down in detail. The plot twist and storyline was easy to follow and relate to.
One of the best things I like about
James Gawley's story was his character development. He made each of his
characters real and very believable. You watched as the main characters grew
and developed as the book progressed. I really like this as I could relate to
each of them.
I really liked Legionnaire: Exiles of
Arcadia by James Gawley and I highly recommend this book to all readers.
