Columbus Day (Expeditionary Force Book 1) by Craig Alanson is an exceptional sci-fi adventure which captivated me and pulled me deep into the adventure. This book was hard to put down once I started reading.

The author has developed a tail which had several twist and turns that made for exciting reading. As the storyline developed I found myself saying this could be real. I really like the author storytelling style.

Craig Alanson's characters had both depth and an internal strength which made this easy to follow and believe in. It was fun to watch them mature and grow as the story progressed.

I really enjoyed reading Columbus Day and I highly recommend this book to all readers.

Merkiaari Wars Series: Book 1 - 3 by Mark E. Cooper is a collection of the first 3 books of a great sci-fi / space opera series. I was hooked after reading his tag line in the Amazon description, "Humanity has been ravaged by alien war. Will the next encounter spell the end of mankind?"

If you buy this series be prepared to dedicate a lot of time to it, you will not be able to put it down. I usually read one book in a series and then wait a month or two before reading the next. Once I started this series, I could not stop until I had finished all three and ordered book 4.

I highly recommend Merkiaari Wars Series: Book 1-3 by Mark E. Cooper and be prepared to be hooked.

review	From the first page until the last page,  From Chaos Born (The First Empress, Book 1) by Michael R. Hicks, grabbed me by the seat of my pants and would not let me go. This action packed, sci-fi book will take your breath away. The author did an excellent job of developing a storyline that was realistic and fast paced. It was full of plot twist and turns which kept me guessing as to what was going to happen next. I really liked the author's style of storytelling, it made the tale come to life. Michael R. Hicks did an excellent job of creating his characters. They were both realistic and easy to identify with. Even though they were very alien I found them easy to follow. Again the author's style of storytelling created this world and its characters to be believable and relatable. I totally enjoyed From Chaos Born * The First Empress, Book 1) by Michael R. Hicks. review	Terror on Arrival by Kyle Robertson is a very good apocalyptic sci-fi book which will keep you glued to the story. It is fast paced and full of intrigue. The author did a good job of developing a story which had all the ingredients of a great sci-fi novel. I enjoyed the story and the fast paced adventure. Kyle Robertson did an excellent job of developing his characters. They were easy to follow and identify with. I like the way he showed their relationship develop as the story progressed. One big no-no for me is trying to write a foreign accent for a character. This is very distracting and made the scenes with the Frenchmen hard to follow. I know this is a pet peeve of mine, but I did not down score the book for it. I just don't like it. review	Anna (Book One of The Starseed Series) by Meghan Riley is a great beginning of what promises to be an excellent science fiction series. As a YA novel and sci-fi book I really enjoyed it. The author did an excellent job of weaving a tale of a teenager coming of age and coming to grips with the reality of her life. The story was very interesting and easy to follow. The pace was quick which made reading even easier. I really loved the end of this book (sorry no spoilers.) Meghan riley did a great job of developing her lead character and each of the supporting characters. I found them very believable and easy to identify with. I like the way she continued to grow the characters throughout the book. review	The Alpha Choice (First Book in the Te’an Trilogy) by M.D. Hall is an excellent example of great science fiction writing. The book is full of non-stop action and adventure which will keep you glued to its pages. I really liked the way the author developed his various storylines and plot twist. From alien worlds and space battles to first contact on earth the author kept me guessing who the good guys were and who the bad guys were until the end of the book. M.D. Hall did a great job of developing his characters. Each of the main character, and there were several, were real and easy to identify with. He did an excellent job of introducing and creating the background for each of his characters and the storylines they each followed. In the end he brought it altogether for a great climax. Yet, he set the ground work for the next book. review	Duality Inc. by J. Thomas Beaton is a great detective thriller with a science fiction twist. If you are looking for a quick read that is full of intrigue this is a book for you. The author did a good job of developing the storyline, making it full of intrigue and fast paced adventure. I like all the twist and turns he put into the story, you never get bored reading. Throw in the sci-fi side of it and you will see why it is hard to put down. I liked the way J. Thomas Beaton developed his characters. Even in this future world he has created his hero as an old gum-shoe detective. I found it easy to identify with each of his main characters. I really enjoyed Duality Inc. by J. review	Outcaste – Episode One of Spaceforce by Penelope Irving is a great read for all sci-fi space opera lovers. It is full of action packed adventure with many twist and turns. The author did a great job of developing a storyline which kept me glued to the book all the way to the end. The book is short, only 74 pages per Amazon, but it is complete and well thought out. It is easy to read and follow, even with all the twist and turns in the story. I really like the way Penelope Irving developed her characters. They were both real and easy to follow. I like when characters are believable and not some super hero. I liked each of her characters and like the intrigue she developed around them. review	The Lightbearers by Nora M. Garcia is an intriguing science fiction novel with plenty of action and a very interesting storyline. The author did an excellent job of developing a story that was both believable and easy to follow. The story was very intriguing and the plot with its associated twist kept you guessing what was going to happen next. I like the way Nora M. Garcia developed her characters. She provides detailed background on each of her two heroes, which made them and the story come alive. They were very real to life and easy to follow.
